Over 100 influential leaders — including Sir Richard Branson, Paul Polman, and Sheryl Sandberg — have joined RBIJ in this advocacy by signing a letter to President Biden urging him to commute all federal death sentences before leaving office. These leaders highlight the federal death penalty’s failures and systemic biases, which not only violate human rights but also contradict core business values like ethical governance, fiscal responsibility, and commitment to community well-being. Rejon Taylor is an artist, poet, and one of 40 people currently on federal death row. Sentenced to death at the age of 23, Rejon has spent over 20 years in solitary confinement, battling temporal lobe epilepsy and PTSD. Despite these hardships, he has crafted over 300 pieces of art and poetry, using creativity as a lifeline to connect, express, and share his humanity from within prison walls.
